BART Readies Early Bird Bus Service as Seismic Project Nears

As BART gets ready to begin a critical seismic retrofit of the Transbay Tube it’s also readying a new express bus service to help early morning riders avoid any inconvenience. To allow extra time during the night for BART to work on the project, the mass transit system is moving its morning service start time from 4 a.m. to 5 a.m. The change will commence on Feb. 11 and last for 3.5 years. For the almost 3,000 riders that use the system in those wee hours, BART is launching an Early Bird Express bus service.
