Homelessness: Causes, Consequences and Solutions
The Bay Area has one of the largest and least sheltered homeless populations in the United States, but does little to coordinate resources at a regional level to address the problem. The Bay Area Council Economic Institute is preparing to release a comprehensive study examining regional homelessness this April, which could serve as the foundation for a major initiative for the Council to address the homeless problem.
On March 29, Vice President of Public Policy Adrian Covert will moderate a panel convened by member Eisner Amper focusing on San Francisco’s specific challenges, and featuring Cassandra Costello of San Francisco Travel, John Bozeman of San Francisco Building Owners and Managers Association, and Gwyneth Borden of the Golden Gate Restaurant Association.
