Developing the Next Generation of Aspiring Change Makers in A City Classroom

Using the Bay Area as a classroom, the Coro Fellows Program develops emerging leaders to work and lead across different sectors – including government, business, labor, electoral politics, philanthropy, and media – by equipping them with knowledge, skills, and networks to accelerate positive change. The Bay Area Council had the honor of hosting a fellow for the second consecutive year. Coro Fellow Miranda Strominger participated on our Workforce of the Future team, helping to advance the Council’s initiative to close the skills gap between employer needs and today’s talent pipeline.

The Coro Fellows Program is a nine-month, full-time, graduate-level leadership training program focused on complex public issues, organizational analysis, collaborative communication, and problem solving. Hosting a fellow allows organizations to harness the contributions of fast-learning, already-accomplished, eager college graduates in accomplishing projects that are currently understaffed. Working with a fellow brings the host organization into Coro’s network of supporters and opens the organization to a new perspective, all while enhancing the growth of an emerging leader.
