Scaling Diversity and Inclusion Impacts in the Workplace
The Bay Area Council recently convened chief diversity officers from throughout the region to address the challenge of measuring and scaling diversity and inclusion efforts within the workplace. Participants at the Chief Diversity Officer Peer to Peer Convening, hosted at McDermott Will & Emery, represented many industries including business services, education, healthcare, retail and technology. Best practices shared during the discussion included having qualitative discussions about diversity with leadership, identifying hiring and retention gaps among diverse employee groups and pinpointing critical behavioral changes that may help to increase a sense of belonging for employees. The chief diversity officer group plans to continue reconvening by invitation and growing its efforts to positively impact inclusion and belonging in the Bay Area. For more information about the Chief Diversity Officer Peer to Peer Convening, contact Senior Vice President Linda Bidrossian.
