JPMorgan Chase Joins California Resilience Challenge
JPMorgan Chase pledged $500,000 this week to the California Resilience Challenge, a Bay Area Council-administered grant to support innovative climate change adaptation projects throughout California. Joined by several other businesses, philanthropies and utilities, JPMorgan Chase’s contribution will help underserved communities improve their resilience to climate change-related weather events, such as drought, extreme heat, floods and wildfires.
The California Resilience Challenge aligns with California’s ongoing efforts to reduce carbon pollution and prepare vulnerable regions for the impacts of climate change. This winter, the Resilience Challenge will launch its statewide competition, extending funding opportunities to local projects that will improve climate resilience outcomes.
