Council Praises Agreement on USMCA
The Bay Area Council praised Congressional leaders for reaching agreement this week on the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement.
“California’s economic engine relies on free trade and the certainty that USMCA brings will help fuel that engine,” said Jim Wunderman, President and CEO of the Bay Area Council. “We applaud the work of our Congressional leaders in reaching an agreement that will help facilitate deeper and stronger trade opportunities with California’s two largest trading partners. The broad outlines of the agreement help advance labor, environmental and intellectual property protections while promoting the kind of robust trade that supports hundreds of thousands of jobs across the state.”
