Council Urges YES Vote on Prop. 13 to Benefit Colleges, Universities
California’s public colleges and universities play a vital role in preparing students to meet the state’s future workforce needs. Investing in the physical infrastructure of these institutions is equally critical to ensuring they can fulfill that mission. That’s why the Bay Area Council is supporting Proposition 13 on the March 3 ballot and why we encourage you to do the same. Prop. 13 will invest $6 billion to help finance the upgrade and modernization of the California State University, Community College and University of California systems.
The Council works closely with many of these institutions through our Workforce of the Future initiative, bringing together educators and employers to improve and expand career opportunities for more students and ensure a strong pipeline of talent for California employers.
