Healthcare Committee Welcomes New Co-Chair
Speaking of the coronavirus, the nasty bug was a key part of the discussion at the Bay Area Council Healthcare Committee on Tuesday hosted by Sutter Health. The committee welcomed Commander Matthew Johns, Regional Health Administrator at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, who shared insights on the government response, among other health-related topics.
The committee welcomed new Co-Chair Dr. William Isenberg, Vice President and Chief Quality and Safety Officer at Sutter Health, who joins Janet Liang, Executive Vice President, Group President and Chief Operating Officer for Kaiser Permanente in leading the Council’s healthcare work. Tom Hanenburg, Kaiser Permanente’s new Interim Regional President for Northern California, also participated.
The committee heard from Council Vice President Adrian Covert on our continuing work to address the homelessness crisis and the close ties between homelessness and community and individual health. To engage in the Council’s Healthcare Committee, please contact Research Director Patrick Kallerman.
