On March 9, San Francisco State University’s President Lynn Mahoney announced that all courses would transition to remote instruction due to the COVID-19 crisis. San Francisco State has almost 29,000 students, 65% of whom receive financial aid. In order to help students who are facing financial crises due to job loss, the unanticipated need to travel home or study remotely, or other roadblocks to their education, the University is offering emergency funds to students through its HOPE Crisis Fund. The fund, which is accepting donations, reviews each application individually and offers bridge funding to students whose education is challenged because of financial crises. Learn more>>
