Council Unveils Second Ad in Tax Impact Campaign
The Bay Area Council this week began airing the second in a series of ads highlighting how a raft of proposed general tax increases will derail California’s recovery from the worst economic downturn in generations. The ads are part of a targeted campaign to build public awareness about the sheer number of tax increases being proposed, show how they will hurt the already struggling businesses, workers and consumers that we need to fuel a recovery and build an army of supporters to tell legislators and other decision makers that now is not the time to raise taxes. The first ad, released over a week ago, has already been viewed by more than 2.7 million residents.
