Newsom Unveils Early Learning Master Plan
This week Governor Newsom released his much-anticipated Master Plan for Early Learning and Care. For over a decade the Bay Area Council has led business efforts in California to raise the quality of, and bring comprehensive reforms to, the early care and education services and programs for our youngest learners. Our current system is heavy on bureaucracy, and light on results. Once implemented the Master Plan should solve many of these problems. Of course, additional investments will be required, but for a knowledge-based economy, there is no more important investment a state can make than in the quality of our future workforce.
