Take Action: Support UCSF Parnassus Heights Plan
A UC San Francisco project the Bay Area Council has endorsed to modernize the university’s 70-year-old Parnassus Heights campus took an important step forward this week with the announcement of an agreement with the City and County of San Francisco on a robust community benefits package. The project includes rebuilding UCSF’s hospital, creating more than 1,200 units of workforce housing and investing in a broad range of transportation, open space and community services.
“As a public university, we are proud of our 150-year partnership with the City, serving the people of San Francisco through every public health crisis and every year in between,” said UCSF Chancellor Sam Hawgood, who serves on the Bay Area Council’s Executive Committee.
