Mourning the Passing of Katherine Strehl

The Bay Area Council mourned the passing this week of Katherine Strehl, a former Council staff member and a widely respected public affairs leader who championed public transit. During an accomplished career, Katherine managed external affairs for BART, helped lead numerous transportation funding ballot measures and served on the California Transportation Commission. Above all, Katherine was a good friend and a dedicated public servant who believed strongly in the Bay Area.
