TixforTransit Winners Announced

We have our winners. The Bay Area Council recently partnered with five of our Bay Area professional sports teams on TixforTransit, a contest to encourage people to use public transit as our economy reopens. To enter a drawing for two tickets to an upcoming game, contestants took a selfie of themselves riding transit and posted it to Twitter with the hashtag #TixforTransit. Ridership on local and regional transit is steadily increasing as COVID restrictions lift and it’s critical that commuters and others get back on buses, ferries and trains to avoid returning to automobiles and the congestion and pollution they cause. Our winners in the TixforTransit sweepstakes include Giuliana Calia, Joe Clark, Carey Chan, Jeremy Land and Eric Wooley. Congratulations and thanks for riding transit. And a HUGE thanks to the San Francisco Giants, SF 49ers, Golden State Warriors, San Jose Earthquakes and Oakland A’s for partnering with us and generously donating tickets!
