Region’s Top Science and Innovations Leaders Convene
The Bay Area Science and Innovation Consortium (BASIC) Board of Directors convened this week with a focus on stem cell research and the future of regenerative medicine. The meeting was hosted by Deepak Srivatsava, President of the Gladstone Institutes, a major biotechnology research center located in San Francisco’s Mission Bay. Discussions were led by leaders from Gladstone and the California Institute of Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) BASIC, an affiliate of the Bay Area Council and Bay Area Council Economic Institute, is composed of leaders of the region’s scientific research community including research universities, independent research laboratories in tech and life science, federal laboratories, and corporate CTOs and head scientists.
