NCC Rallies Support for Governor’s Infrastructure Proposal

The New California Coalition – co-lead by Bay Area Council CEO Jim Wunderman and CEO of LA BizFed Tracy Hernandez – this week (June 2) released a coalition letter with 87 partner organizations urging the California Legislature to pass Governor Gavin Newsom’s proposal to expedite approval and construction of essential infrastructure projects across California.

The package of 10 budget trailer bills would allow California to more quickly complete needed projects in the areas of climate, water, clean energy, transportation, semiconductor manufacturing and more. This $180 billion dollar investment would help revitalize California’s aging infrastructure, create jobs, and introduce critical streamlining reforms that would speed up construction, expedite court review, smooth permitting, and address the abuse of the CEQA process.
