Bay Area Council Insights on the 2024 Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show and China Night Forum
Last week marked the annual kickoff for one of the world’s biggest technology showcases the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The Bay Area Council is excited to have been a part of this year’s show by supporting the “China Night and Consumer Electronics Development Forum,” an event co-hosted by the Chinese Consulate in San Francisco and the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products.
The gathering, which saw attendance from around 300 industry leaders and experts, focused on smart homes, intelligent transportation, and consumer electronics industry trends. Discussions revolved around fostering collaborative opportunities between Chinese and American companies. Deputy Consul General of China in San Francisco, Zou Yonghong, emphasized the symbiotic trade relationships between the two nations, especially in the consumer electronics field. The forum was further enhanced by the moderation of Bay Area Council Vice President Jennifer Zou, who guided the discussions, underscoring the Council’s active role in facilitating international business exchange.
Additionally, the forum witnessed the release of the “China Consumer Electronics and Home Appliances Industry Trend Report”, jointly presented by Ernst & Young and the CCCME. This report underlined the rapid growth and innovation in the consumer electronics and home appliances sector, driven by advancements in AI and the increasing integration of smart technologies.
Through this event, the Bay Area Council reaffirms its commitment to supporting regional businesses in tapping into global opportunities, maintaining our region’s status as a leader in global technology and innovation.
