Council-sponsored Water Data Bill Advances
The Bay Area Council on Monday (May 31) cheered the state Assembly’s passage of AB 1755, which require the Department of Water Resources to create a public platform to access existing state and federal water data. This clearing house would better organize data to allow for smarter water use decisions, a key step in establishing a more efficient, transparent and open water market in California. The bill was authored by Assemblymember Bill Dodd of Napa. It now moves to the Senate. To engage in our water policy work, please contact Policy Director Adrian Covert.
