COUNCIL IGNITING ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY IN CHINA
On August 20th the Bay Area Council’s Nanjing office launched the first of a continuing series of entrepreneur forums titled Ignition. The event serves as a platform for new startups to introduce their work to the city’s burgeoning innovation community. The Ignition series will highlight companies in their earliest stages of prototyping and venture funding to help other would-be entrepreneurs learn how to take the first step in building a business in Nanjing.
The inaugural event was held in the historic Nanjing Municipal Building at the heart of the former embassy district. The audience included a mixture of entrepreneurs, academics, consulting professionals and students. Kenneth Chan, senior manager at Council member company KPMG, led a discussion on the importance of organizing workflow and responsibilities.
