On Nov. 8, Vote for a Better Bay Area
It’s almost over, but there’s still one more very important thing to do before you can put Election 2016 in your rear-view mirror. Unless you’ve already cast your ballot (thank you), the Bay Area Council urges you to vote on Nov. 8. And not just for the top of the ballot races. Some of the most critical measures come toward the end of your ballot – local and county measures that can help us tackle the region’s awesome housing crisis and growing traffic.
Among those, the Council is asking for your “YES” vote on Measure RR to fix and upgrade BART, Measure B in Santa Clara County to expand transit and fix roads, Measure X in Contra Costa County to invest in a range of transportation projects and services, Measure A1 in Alameda County and Measure A in Santa Clara County to fund affordable housing programs, and Measure KK in Oakland to support both housing and transportation. The Council has also taken positions on a number of statewide initiatives. See the full list of Council positions>>
