Bay Area Council Economic Institute Partners with Sonoma County
The Bay Area Council Economic Institute is proud to announce its new partnership with Sonoma County, where it will serve as the county’s dedicated economic research arm. Under this agreement, the Economic Institute will provide timely and actionable economic analyses to the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors, delivering insights in concise reports and presentations tailored to the county’s needs.
This collaboration builds on the Economic Institute’s longstanding commitment to supporting regional resilience and growth, including its pivotal work following the 2017 wildfires. The first projects under this contract will include an analysis of Sonoma County’s general plan and an economic study of the county’s unique commercial ice maker at Bodega Bay—the only facility of its kind serving fishing operations between Pacifica and Fort Bragg.
The Economic Institute looks forward to leveraging this success to expand similar partnerships with other counties across the region, strengthening local economies through data-driven insights.
