Council Initiative to Unveil Winners of $2 Million Climate Challenge
Following an avalanche of proposals from across the state, the Bay Area Council is set to announce the much-anticipated winners of the California Resilience Challenge. Next Friday, June 19 from 3-4:30 p.m., the 12 winners of the 2020 California Resilience Challenge will be unveiled. From drought resilience in the Central Valley, to heat resilience in Southern California, to wildfire preparedness in the California’s forests, these projects showcase some of the world’s most innovative thinking on climate resilience.
Participants will also hear from the diverse group of sponsors behind the grants including representatives from JP Morgan, Resources Legacy Fund, Valley Water, Edison International, the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, PG&E, and Alaska Airlines. Register for the event here.
