Description
For the past 13 years, the Bay Area Council has brought together leaders from far and wide to honor the invaluable cultural, social and economic contributions of the Chinese and Chinese American communities to the Bay Area. This year, the Council proudly continues its tradition with the iconic Lunar New Year Spring Festival Celebration, marking the auspicious Year of the Dragon.
We’re thrilled to honor San Francisco Mayor London Breed and Chief of Protocol Maryam Muduroglu with the Bay Area Council 2024 Global Leadership Award for their incredible achievement in hosting the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders’ Week in San Francisco and the material impact it has had on improving US-China relations and strengthening our region’s connections around the Pacific Rim and Asia.
We cordially invite you to join us on March 13 (initially scheduled for Feb 22), from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm aboard the historic Klamath (Pier 9, the Embarcadero, San Francisco) for an enchanting evening immersed in contemporary Chinese culture, art, and cuisine. As we welcome the Year of the Dragon, a symbol associated with strength, wisdom, and power, we aspire to embrace a year brimming with abundance, improvement, and success.
