The Nordic region is known worldwide for its advanced social policies, innovative startups, and advanced technologies. With the rest of Europe it is also impacted by the conflict in the Ukraine and shares a range of security concerns with European partners and the U.S.
The Bay Area Council Economic Institute invites you to a forum to discuss these topics with four Nordic Consuls General – Anna Lekvall from Sweden, Gry Rabe Henriksen from Norway, Jesper Kamp from Denmark, and Maria Belovas from Estonia. The latest in a series of consular programs designed to connect Council members and partners with diplomatic representatives and the economies they represent, the discussion will address European security and how Nordic tech is engaging with Silicon Valley to address future defense needs, and the Nordic region’s footprint in the Bay Area and how each economy is connected to the region through business and policy initiatives.
Doors open at 3:00pm, followed by discussion from 3:30-4:30pm and an informal reception from 4:30-5:00pm.
