Edelman Trust Barometer: Navigating a Polarized World
On March 7, over 120 business and thought leaders met on the Klamath for the release of Bay Area Council member Edelman’s 2023 Edelman Trust Barometer, the 23rd annual trust and credibility survey of more than 32,000 respondents across 28 countries. The stark findings? Lack of faith in societal institutions triggered by economic anxiety, disinformation, mass-class divide, and a failure of leadership has brought us to where we are today – deeply polarized. Among the highlights of the report, “Navigating a Polarized World,” respondents say that business is the most trusted institution; that their countries are more divided today than in the past; and that CEOs are obligated to improve economic optimism and hold divisive forces accountable. Read the Top Ten Findings here.
The report also includes a blueprint for navigating a polarized world, calling for leadership, collaboration, vision, and advocacy.
