Join the BAC in D.C. (May 7-9)!
Washington DC is facing down what promises to be a historic election this November. A wave of retirements, ruthless internecine party battles, and razor thin majorities in both chambers of Congress have marked Capitol Hill in recent months, while the Biden Administration races to implement scores of new programs — and disburse billions of appropriated dollars — to solidify its first-term agenda.
The Bay Area Council will be returning to Washington DC, from May 7-9 for our annual delegation amid this dynamic and fascinating environment, and we need your voice more than ever to help bring focus and gravity to the issues confronting our region.
As in past years, the delegation will attend meetings with our California Senators and Bay Area Congressional members, as well as in-depth discussions with administration officials across a wide array of key federal agencies, which have included top officials in the Departments of Transportation, Commerce, Energy, Labor, Interior and Housing & Urban Development.
Deputy Secretary of Commerce Don Graves has just been confirmed and additional confirmations will be announced in the coming weeks.
Led by Bay Area Council Chair Kristina Lawson (Managing Partner, Hanson Bridgett) and CEO Jim Wunderman, BAC members will enjoy two packed days of meetings, briefings and receptions across the nation’s capital. Space is limited.
