Council-Supported Victory for Housing in Redwood City

Housing,
The Bay Area Council put our commitment to alleviate this region’s housing crisis to work on Tuesday evening (May 16) and called in to encourage the Redwood City Planning Commission to approve a 56-townhome project on East Bayshore Boulevard. The site, currently occupied by a pair of old dilapidated industrial buildings, is ideally located adjacent to Highway 101 and a short walk to downtown. The project sponsor Sares Regis should be commended for maintaining their generous affordability and community benefits package during a period of significantly increasing cost pressures. Thankfully, the planning commission approved the project unanimously. Keep up the good work Redwood City!
