Register for North Bay Development Tour
In the wake of the tragic North Bay fires, civic leaders in Santa Rosa and Sonoma County enacted a sweeping package of incentives to promote more fire resilient patterns of growth by encouraging development of prime sites in transit served urban centers. Please join the Bay Area Council, the San Francisco Housing Action Coalition, investors and developers to meet with elected officials and planners, and tour opportunity sites across the county. For more information or to register, please contact Senior Vice President of Policy Matt Regan.
With generous support from The Hewlett Foundation, The Bay Area Council Economic Institute is providing policy analysis and recommendations to the many ongoing recovery efforts in the region. A Profile of Sonoma County: Building a Resilient and Inclusive Economy will be released in October on the second anniversary of the fires as the capstone of this project. It will highlight progress that has been made and include policy goals going forward with indicators to track progress on fire safety, emergency response, housing affordability, economic and ethnic inclusion, and public health.
