ASSEMBLYMEMBER CATHARINE BAKER TALKS WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT, TRANSPORTATION AND SPENDING CONTROL WITH MEMBERS
Assemblymember Catharine Baker (R-Dublin) this week (July 9) engaged members of the Government Relations Committee in a robust discussion focused on state government reforms and California’s future. Elected to the 16th Assembly District last November, Baker was appointed as vice chair of the Assembly Higher Education Committee, and serves on the Transportation, Business and Professions, Privacy and Consumer Protection, and Joint Legislative Audit Committees. The Assemblymember discussed her plans for reinvesting in workforce training, reforming BART and improving California’s business climate. She also added that she is focused on transportation, jobs and controlling excess government spending. The Council thanks member company Safeway for hosting the meeting.
