Council Joins Campaign to Deepen Board Diversity

Despite years of hard work, women and communities of color continue to be underrepresented in the highest echelons of business leadership. Bay Area Council members across the region have made significant progress but the only way to truly see systemic change is to leverage the power of the collective. The Council is proud to announce a new partnership with the Silicon Valley Leadership Group to increase representation and encourage more transparency, education, and financial commitment in the effort.

Under the Leadership Group’s 25×25 initiative, companies have the option to pledge that by 2025 at least 25% of their leadership will be comprised of underrepresented individuals (persons of color and women) or that by 2025 the number of underrepresented individuals in leadership will increase by at least 25%.
