Bay Area Council
Ali Aldridge is the Development Director for the Bay Area Council, providing oversight and management of its grants program. In her role she is responsible for researching opportunities in alignment with the Council’s mission and goals, building strategic relationships, developing proposals telling the story of Council programming, and award maintenance and cultivation. She brings strategic focus and a broad range of experience in grants management processes.
Prior to joining the Council, she worked for Mission Graduates, an educational equity organization serving mainly Latinx and immigrant students and families in San Francisco. She’s also done grant work for San Francisco Unified School District, and United Indian Health Services, a tribal health organization in Humboldt County. She earned her Master’s in Public Health from San Francisco State University, her Bachelors in Food Science and Nutrition from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and her Associates from Cabrillo College in Santa Cruz, where she swam competitively while earning a life-guarding paycheck and earning the title of beach bum. She’s been a swimmer since she was 9 years old and wishes San Francisco beaches were just a tad warmer.
