Critical SF Commuter Bus Line Resumes Service after Council’s Advocacy
A widely popular San Francisco bus line that daily shuttled hundreds of commuters from the Marina District and other northern neighborhoods to the downtown but was discontinued during the pandemic returned this week. The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) on Monday restarted the 30x Express Bus service following years of persistent advocacy by the Bay Area Council. The suspension of the 30x service has made it exceedingly difficult for commuters to return to their offices over the past few years.
SFMTA will restart the service with just two morning runs due to its financial constraints, so we encourage our members to get the word out to their employees to plan around those runs since the bus will not be nearly as frequent as it was pre-pandemic. We appreciate SFMTA for working with the Council to recognize the importance of providing commute services in order to revitalize our downtown economy.
