Partner Event: LA Business Council Sustainability Summit
Please join the Los Angeles Business Council on September 22 at USC for their Sustainability Summit. This year’s Summit will focus on local, state, and federal clean energy goals, advancing toward zero emission transportation, managing water resources, and how to best capitalize on the billions of dollars of incentives from the IRA, IIJA, and California state budget. The Bay Area Council is proud to serve as a promotional partner, along with other partners USC President Dr. Carol Folt, USC Sol Price School of Public Policy, and the USC Schwarzenegger Institute for State and Global Policy.
Among the speakers are LA Mayor Karen Bass, SunRun CEO Mary Powell, USC President Carol Folt, California Department of Water Resources Director Karla Nemeth, and Pattern Energy Chief Development Officer Cary Kottler, among others.
The Summit will include a presentation on findings of a study the LABC commissioned with the METRANS Transportation Consortium of USC to analyze the size of the zero-emission truck market, the potential economic benefits and costs of transitioning to zero-emission trucks following California’s Advanced Clean Fleets rule which will ultimately eliminate diesel trucks in California.
