Top Leaders Join Bay Area Council Webinar on Racial Inequity in the Time of COVID
The COVID pandemic is taking a disproportionate toll on communities of color, highlighting long-standing racial and economic inequities that have sparked civil unrest across the Bay Area and the country in the wake of the killing of George Floyd. To better understand these important issues and what must be done to eliminate racial inequity everywhere, the Bay Area Council this week welcomed three top leaders–Dr. Sandra R. Hernández, President and CEO of the California Health Care Foundation, Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf and James Head, President and CEO of the East Bay Community Foundation–for a discussion with CEO Jim Wunderman as part of our continuing webinar series exploring different aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic. <Watch the Webinar>
