Bay Area Council Weighs In on State Water Resilience
The Bay Area Council’s Water and Climate Resilience Committee has submitted eight key recommendations for Gov. Newsom’s Water Resilience Portfolio, which will identify and assess a suite of complementary actions to ensure safe and dependable water supplies, flood protection and healthy waterways for the state’s communities, economy and environment. The Council’s recommendations provide a wide range of strategies to modernize water use and improve water quality and supply, including dam and reservoir repairs, investing in additional water storage, and managing forests to restore watershed health.
