Member Spotlight: DLA Piper’s Dean Fealk
Gov. Gavin Newsom this week announced the appointment of Dean Fealk, a partner at Council member DLA Piper, to the California Workforce Development Board. Fealk, who also serves on the Council’s Board of Directors, has been partner and co-chair of the international labor and employment practice at DLA Piper since 2007. The Workforce Development Board is responsible for the oversight and continuous improvement of the workforce system in California, with particular focus on three key policy objectives, including fostering demand-driven skills attainment; enabling upward mobility for all Californians; and, aligning, coordinating and integrating programs and services. These objectives are consistent with the Council’s advocacy efforts through our Workforce of the Future Initiative.
